چکیده

Work recently reviewed by Duran-Reynals,6 in whose laboratory this investigation was carried out, has provided facts which form the basis for a concept of the permeability of connective tissue. Tissue permeability has a normal constitutional state or tonus which can be increased by certain factors and decreased by others. Of the former, the most important are the spreading factors, some of which are identified as mucolytic enzymes, hyaluronidases,4 endowed with the property of hydrolyzing the hyaluronic acid of the intercellular cement of the connective tissues, and thus promoting the spreading of materials injected intradermally. In the present investigation we report results concerning the effects exerted by morphine on tissue permeability, as shown by the distribution of India ink, suspended either in saline solution or in testicular extract (hyaluronidase), after intradermal injection.

P-130: Designing and Construction of An Appropriate Eukaryotic Expression Vector to Generate Soluble Form of Human Hyaluronidase Type PH20 in Cell Culture Feasible for Application in IVF and ICSI

Background: The hyaluronidases are the enzymes hydrolyze β-1, 4 glycosidic linkage of hyaluronan. Hyaluronan is a polymer consisting of a repeating disaccharide unit found in cumulus ovuforus complex, semen liquid and other tissue. Addition to hydrolyzing the hyaluronan, hyaluronidase can penetrate through the cumulus cells layer that surrounds the oocyte, thus it terms spreading factor. Moreov...

Hyaluronidase in ocular tissue. I. Sensitive biological assay for small concentrations of hyaluronidase.

(1) The spreading reaction is a biological method, measuring the decomposing effect of hyaluronidase on the mucoids of the cement substance of rabbit's skin (Duran-Reynals, 1929). These substances consist partly of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronidase increases the permeability of the tissues, and this involves an increased spreading capacity of liquids and corpuscular substances. This test is not sp...

Further Studies on Placental ACTH, Pituitary, and Adrenal-Hyaluronidase Relations

During the past several years, an investigation has been made of the relationships between various hormones of the adrenal cortex, the enzyme hyaluronidase, and its substrate hyaluronic acid, with specific reference to tissue permeability and collagen diseases. As the studies progressed, several problems were investigated: (i) which fractions of the adrenal cortex were responsible for the resul...

Study of the Intraplantar Injection of Lidocaine and Morphine on Pain Perception and the Influence of Morphine Dependence and Withdrawal on Lidocaine-Induced Analgesia in Rats

Background: Morphine and lidocaine are known to influence the perception of pain. The present study sought to determine the influence of local administration of morphine on lidocaine-induced analgesia in morphine non-dependent (MND), morphine dependent (MD) and morphine withdrawal (MW) animals. Methods: Adult male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: Control, MND, MD and MW rats. Lidocai...
